ROAD CLOSINGS

ALL ROAD CLOSINGS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE DUE TO WEATHER OR UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES

Traffic Advisories

 

*MDOT ALERT:  I-10 EAST OF HWY. 609 (OCEAN SPRINGS - EXIT 50) – TRAFFIC IMPACT WILL BE HIGH

Paving westbound inside lanes beginning at 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Paving eastbound inside lanes beginning at 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p. m.

Today, Thursday, September 2nd.  

 

*JOHN LEE RD. FROM LORRAINE RD. TO WOOLMARKET ELEMENTARY will be closed except to local traffic only through Friday, September 3rd.

Please avoid these areas if at all possible.  Thank you for your cooperation. 

The previous road closing announcement is work being done by Harrison County Utility Authority 868-8752.  It is posted on this page simply as a courtesy to try and keep the citizens of Biloxi informed.

 

*OAKLAWN ROAD FROM SCENIC RIVER DRIVE TO PIN OAK DR. will have intermittent lane closures for installation of new water main through Friday, September 3rd.

 

**SOUTHBOUND LANE OF CAMPBELL DR. @ POPPS FERRY RD.  & 200 FT. TO THE SOUTH ON POPPS FERRY will be closed for a new water tap.  This work has been extended through Friday, September 3rd.  Flagmen will be present.

 

3rd STREET & CEDAR STREET INTERSECTION closed for construction.

 

LIGHTING WORK ON 11 SECTIONS OF ROADS & SIDEWALKS IN BILOXI Contractors have begun replacing lighting in various areas of the city. Please be on the lookout for these workers and be extra cautious driving in these areas.  They will be posting “Men at Work” signs and periodic lane closures may be required in some instances.  This work has been extended through August.

 

**BRODIE RD. FROM LAMEY ST. TO DESTINY WAY will be closed through Friday, September 20th.  Please avoid this area if at all possible.

 BRODIE ROAD will be closed to through traffic for the duration of that reconstruction project which will be approximately fourteen (14) months (November 2010).  Signs and flagmen will be present.  Residents are urged to drive with extra caution.  More specific closures will be announced as they occur.  Thank you for your cooperation.

 

MDOT ALERT:  EASTBOUND I-10 FROM 609 TO I-110 ALL DIRECTIONS INSIDE LANES & EXIT RAMP  Overall construction project to add additional lanes will be ongoing through December 2010.  More specific information will be posted as it occurs.  Please drive with extra caution in these areas.
