ROAD CLOSINGS AND TRAFFIC ADVISORIES

Iberville Drive (from Pass Road to Irish Hill Drive)  will be closed to through traffic from 7 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 8 – Dec. 9 until the work is complete.    -posted 12/7/16

Lee Street  (from Division Street to Esters Boulevard) is closed to through traffic through Friday, Dec. 16.  This closure will be in effect 24 hours-a-day.    -posted 12/2/16

Division Street  (from Strangi Avenue to Crawford Street) is closed to through traffic from Monday, Nov. 21 – Friday, Dec. 9.  This closure will be in effect from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. each day.    -posted 11/22/16   -updated 12/2/16

Lee Street  (from Division Street to Back Bay Boulevard) is closed to through traffic through Friday, Dec. 9.  This closure will be in effect from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. each day.    -posted 10/11/16   -updated 12/2/16

Division Street  (from Lee Street to Nixon Street) is closed to through traffic from Thursday, Dec. 1 – Wednesday, Dec. 14.  This closure will be in effect from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. each day.    -posted 11/29/16

Holley Street  (from Division Street to Back Bay Boulevard) is closed to through traffic through Friday, Dec. 9.  This closure will be in effect from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. each day.    -posted 10/11/16   -updated 11/17/16

Thelma Street (from Hopkins Boulevard to Iroquois Street) is closed to through traffic through Friday, Dec. 9. This closure will be in effect 24 hours each day until completion.    -posted 10/11/16   -updated 11/17/16

Cedar Lake Road North of I-10 (from Kimbrough Drive to the Fish Camp at the Bridge) will be closed starting Monday, Nov. 14 while crews install sewer manholes and sewer mains under and along the roadway.  Detour signs will be in-place to direct motorists around the closed segment via Old Highway 67.  Weather permitting, the required detour is expected to last for five weeks.     posted 11/8/16

Esposito Street (from Iroquois Street to Seal Avenue) will be closed to through traffic beginning Thursday, Jan. 21 – Friday, Dec. 23.  This closure will be in effect 24 hours-a-day.    -posted 2/23/16   -updated 10/31/16

Summer Lane (north off Cedar Lake Road) will have intermittent lane closures beginning Thursday, Oct. 27 to allow crews to install sewer mains for the Holly Bluff-Cedar Lake Area Sewer Extension Project.  Lane closures are expected to be in effect during the hours of 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. for approximately two to three weeks.  This short residential street is narrow, so please use caution while construction proceeds in this area.  Intermittent driveway access, but no driveway closures, for residents and emergency vehicles has been discussed with the construction contractor(s) and inspectors for this sewer project.  With lane closures occurring daily, please allow for extra travel time due to expected delays, and please be cautious and aware of construction signs and flaggers.    -posted 10/25/16

Holly Bluff Circle will have intermittent one lane closures beginning Monday, Oct. 3 to allow crews to complete street repairs. This one lane closure is expected to be in effect during weekdays for approximately two (2) months.  Flaggers may be present to direct motorists along or around lane closures in areas where sewer mains were recently installed; please use caution when driving through the work zones.    -posted 9/28/16w

Easy Lane (north off Cedar Lake Road) will have intermittent lane closures beginning Thursday, Aug. 25 to allow crews to install sewer mains under the roadway.  Lane closures are expected to be in effect during weekdays (Monday – Friday) during the hours of 9 a.m. till 3 p.m. for approximately eight (8) to ten (10) weeks.  This short residential street is narrow, so please use caution while construction proceeds in this area.  Intermittent driveway access, but no driveway closures, for residents and emergency vehicles has been discussed with the construction contractor(s) and inspectors for this sewer project.     -posted 7/22/16    -updated 9/28/16w

Division Street (from Porter Avenue to Hopkins Boulevard) will be closed to through traffic beginning Monday, March 21st until further notice.  This closure will be in effect 24 hours each day until completion.   -posted 3/17/16    -updated 9/26/16

Popp’s Ferry Road (between Cedar Lake Road and Lamey Street) can expect intermittent lane shifts while crews continue to pave then route traffic along new lanes.  No detours are planned, but orange traffic cones and barrels will mark shifts of travel lanes and work areas.  Weather permitting, paving work can be expected for the next few months.  Please use caution while traveling through the work zones.  In advance, thank you for your patience and cooperation during this roadway widening project.   -posted 7/13/16

Meadows Avenue on Keesler AFB at the Forrest Avenue Intersection will be changing from two lanes each way to three lanes entering the base and one lane exiting beginning Monday, Jan. 25.  This change will be in effect Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. – 8 a.m. until further notice.  Keesler-bound drivers are asked to not us DeSoto Street in order to bypass traffic.    -posted 1/19/16
