Biloxi Cub Scouts have a Treasure of a movie

When Mayor Andrew “FoFo” Gilich met with the members of Cub Scout Pack 213 Wednesday, he was also meeting with the stars of new short film “The Boonies:  Hidden Treasure of Biloxi.”

That’s right. The kids from Pack 213 are the ensemble cast of the slickly produced short that gives hi-def screen time to such picture-perfect Biloxi locales as the Back Bay waterfront, the moss-laden oaks of Kensington Drive, the tree-filled campus at the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art, the stately Biloxi Visitors Center, the Biloxi Lighthouse (of course), and the statue of explorer Pierre LeMoyne D’Iberville, which, come to find out, is actually resting atop an underground hideaway that – spoiler alert – well, you’ll have to see for yourself.

The five-minute opus was lensed by the creative team of Angela Guice and husband Mikael Tyrsen, with a host of other creative contributions.
