Biloxi Public Works staff this morning is working to determine how many city water customers lost service Thursday after an unmarked 12-inch water main was broken on Esters Boulevard. The water main was ruptured when contractors were in stalling sheet piles along the road way north of the CSX railway. Water service was interrupted Thursday afternoon and was restored later that night.
Anyone who lost water service should call the Public Works Department at 228-435-6271.
Those who completely lost water service are under a boil water notice until precautionary tests are completed.
