Oscar Renda Contracting has completed a new round of paving on sections of Division, Strangi, Alley and Murray streets, but weeks-long road closures are in the works for after the first of year when new sewer lines are installed on Porter Avenue and Querens Street south of Division Street.
Project Superintendent John Cowart, in this month’s video update, published today on the city’s YouTube channel, also reports that Center Point Energy has finally begun relocating a gas line on Division Street, which has held up installation of a sewer line on Division Street between Reynoir and Nixon streets.
After the first of year, a closure of six to eight weeks is planned for Porter and Querens while workers install new sewer lines.
