A countywide curfew, which includes Biloxi and all cities in Harrison County, will go into effect this evening at 7 and continue through Sunday morning at 9.

The two announcements were made this afternoon as Hurricane Nate continues moving northward at 28 mph, with a projected path of the central Mississippi Gulf Coast.

How to report power outages, downed lines
Mississippi Power and Coast Electric, the two utilities that serve Biloxi residents, have crews on standby to deal with post-storm electricity outages, and the firms have numbers set up to report power outages.
Mississippi Power customers should call 1-800-487-3275 and Coast Electric customers should call 1-877-769-2372.

Sand beach closed: The Harrison County Emergency Management Agency has issued an immediate mandatory beach closure and evacuation of the beach areas south of the sea wall in Harrison County.
Warning sirens: The Biloxi Fire Department will sound hurricane sirens again at 7 p.m. to remind residents of the pending threat of Hurricane Nate.
