Biloxi, Keesler participate in joint exercise

The 81st Training Wing of the Keesler Air Force Base and the City of Biloxi will participate in a joint exercise on Thursday from 8 a.m. to noon near the Keesler main gate on White Avenue.

The exercise will be isolated to the intersection of Irish Hill Drive and White Avenue causing the closure of the White Avenue gate. Base access will be available during that time at the Meadows or Pass Road gates.

The area will be marked by cones and a digital sign board notifying motorist.  Law enforcement will also be in the area to re-route traffic.

The exercise is designed to evaluate the capability and readiness of emergency and fire responders as well as test the integrated communication abilities.

For more information, call the 81st Training Wing Public Affairs Office at 228-377-2783.
