The City of Biloxi celebrates Recreation and Parks month

(Biloxi, MS) – The City of Biloxi and the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) proclaim July as Recreation and Parks Month. As part of this year’s celebration, the City of Biloxi Parks and Recreation Department is hosting an afternoon family pool party at the Biloxi Natatorium, 1384 Father Ryan Avenue.

The family pool party will be held on Saturday, July 11 from 12 to 3 p.m. at the Natatorium and will include games, hot dogs, chips, soda and music emceed by a local DJ. All children under the age of 10 who can not swim must be accompanied by an adult in the pool.

This event is free to the public and all participants will need to wear proper swim suit attire.

Since 1985, the NRPA has designed the month of July as a way to celebrate each city’s summer programming as well as a time to bring communities together through volunteering and involvement in outdoor physical activities.
