The City of Biloxi will begin filling openings for the annual Summer Playground and Enrichment Program with registration for Woolmarket area residents and Woolmarket school sites. Registration will be from 9 a.m. to noon at Woolmarket Elementary School Gym, 12513 John Lee Road.
The program is for children ages of 5 to 14.
“This program is always a lot of fun for the campers and counselors,” says Parks and Recreation Director Cheryl Bell. “Activities include arts and crafts, movies, organized games, weekly field trips, and each year we end the summer with a talent show.”
If approved by the school board, camps will be held Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. with extended care or latch-key, from 3 to 6 p.m. Camps will begin Tuesday, May 31 and end on Friday, July 29.
“Slots fill up fairly quickly,” Bell said. “So we are asking parents to be prepared and have the required information and payment ready.”
Registration for Biloxi residents and Biloxi school sites will begin on Saturday, April 16 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Donal Snyder Community Center, 2520 Pass Rd.
If slots are available, late registration will be held Monday, April 18 through Friday, May 20 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hiller Park, 377 Hiller Drive.
