A 10-acre site that, in 2018, received improvements to include updates to the existing boat launches and added amenities such as a bait shop and kayak launches, an open-air interpretive center, nature trails, and more.  The project is one that the city has had designs for for more than 30 years but was unable to complete because of the lack of funding.  in 2017, Gov. Phil Bryant steered BP money to the project.

The project was funded through a $4.2 million grant from the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality.
