A team of assessors from the Mississippi Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission will be in Biloxi Thursday and Friday conducting an on-site assessment to ensure that the Biloxi Police Department is complying with professional standards.
The assessors, who checks the department’s compliance with 140 measured standards, will review agency policies and practices, interview personnel, and examine files kept by the Biloxi Police Department specifically in regard to state accreditation.
As part of the on-site assessment, the public has a chance to comment, either by calling the department on Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m. (228-435-6100) or in writing to Mississippi Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission, Attn: Accreditation Alliance Manager, 1025 Northpark Drive, Ridgeland, MS 39157.
