Lions Club seeks nominees for Biloxi’s Outstanding Citizen

The Biloxi Lions Club is now accepting nominations for Biloxi’s Outstanding Citizen of the Year, who will be recognized during a luncheon at the Biloxi Yacht Club on Wednesday, Feb. 17.

Nominations are due at Biloxi City Hall by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3. Forms can be obtained at the Biloxi Visitors Center or online at biloxi.ms.us/oustanding/. Nominations should be emailed to vcreel@biloxi.ms.us, faxed to (228) 435-6129 or dropped off at the second floor of Biloxi City Hall, 140 Lameuse St.

“Each year, we recognize a Biloxian who has worked to make our community a better place to live, and someone who has worked tirelessly to improve the quality of life for all Biloxians,” said Biloxi Lions Club President Penny Edwards. “The important thing for people to do at this point is to nominate a deserving person.”

An anonymous committee of non-residents chooses an honoree each year, based on submitted nominations.
