Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art to host seniors activities

The City of Biloxi and Harrison County are opening a senior citizens center to serve residents of east Biloxi, and residents will have a chance to see it during a reception Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. on the campus of the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art.

The seniors center, which will be housed in the City of Biloxi Center for Ceramics at the Ohr-O’Keefe, will offer such activities as crafts, ceramics, games, bingo, field trips and luncheons each weekday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., beginning Monday, June 30.

The city has not had a seniors center in east Biloxi since Hurricane Katrina. The new venture will be funded by the city and Harrison County.
