Main Street announces Grillin’ winners

Biloxi Main Street says about 10,000 people attended Saturday’s 2nd Annual Grillin’ on the Green Grill on the Biloxi Town Green.

Said Kay Miller, Main Street director: “The weather was great, and the festival featured things for everyone in the family, from the children’s play area, great arts and craft booths, to great music and fabulous food.”

Winners for the professional division of the Grillin’ Contest:

Chicken: First place, BBQ World featuring Terry Welch; second place, Dis Iz It BBQ featuring Mark Johnson; third place, Bruno’s Café featuring Chris Soldo

Brisket:
First place, Up in Smoke featuring Lynn Burton & Jay Williams; second place, BBQ World featuring Terry Welch; third place, Rue-B-Que featuring Jason Ruiz.

Ribs:
First place, “Big Hoss BBQ” featuring Michael Hosli; second place, Dis Iz It featuring Mark Johnson;third place, Up In Smoke featuring Lynn Burton & Jay Williams.

Winners for the amateur division of the Grillin’ Contest:

First place, Tommy Gunn BBQ; second place, Community Bank featuring Dustey Wallet; third place, Tender Q

The People’s Choice winner was “Terry Welch’s BBQ World” and the BBQ Sauce winner was Kevin Braun’s Blue Smoke BBQ.
