Work involves performing manual tasks that do not require a high degree of manipulative skill or previous experience in order to do an effective job. Work may involve occasional operation of light trucks or other mechanized equipment. Collects and removes trash and tree limbs from residential and commercial area as part of a collection crew. Cleans and unclogs catch basins, manholes, storm drains, and drainage ditches. Assists with building forms, pouring, and finishing concrete, and repair and/or replace storm drains, catch basins and retainer walls. Operates air hammer, bush hog, and other mechanical equipment; occasionally operates such equipment as chain saws, weed eaters and similar light public works equipment; operates power mowers and small tractors to cut lawns and brush; occasionally operates trucks and other mechanized equipment incidental to regular work assignments. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have a valid Mississippi Driver’s License or ability to obtain one.
