Heads up: Halloween events in the offing

A quick preview of a number of city-sponsored Halloween events coming up:

Halloween, Part 1: The Parks and Recreation’s free annual Special Needs Halloween Costume Ball will be Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Donal Snyder Community Center.  Individuals with physical and mental disabilities can don Halloween garb and enjoy tasty treats. Halloween, Part 2: Biloxi Main Street’s “drive-in movie” returns to the Town Green on Saturday with the movie “Race to Witch Mountain.” You’ll also find a Halloween costume contest, games, inflatables and trick or treating.  Details: 228-435-6339. To see a flyer, click here.

Halloween, Part 3: Seniors can dress up in Halloween attire, listen to a local DJ and enjoy lunch during the Seniors Halloween Bash and Luncheon on Friday, Oct. 30 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Donal Snyder Community Center.  Seniors are asked to bring a dessert.  Details: 228-388-2494.  To view a flyer, click here.

Halloween, Part 4: The annual Halloween at Hiller Park for children up to age 11 will be Friday, Oct. 30 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Barbara Ferrill Softball Fields.  Children can wear festive costumes, enjoy Halloween-themed games, and trick or treat around the field.  Local businesses will have decorated tables filled with candy.
