Firefighters seek toys for needy children

The Biloxi Fire Department is asking residents to provide unwrapped toys for needy children for this Christmas.

The fire department, along with a group of New York firefighters, the Nativity Men’s Club, and the Biloxi-Ocean Springs Junior Auxiliary, are asking residents to drop off unwrapped toys at any of the nine firehouses in Biloxi between now and Dec. 11.

Firefighters in the Fire Department of New York, who have been delivering toys to Gulf Coast children each Christmas since Katrina, will be coming to the Gulf Coast to visit with children in the area and distribute toys on Dec. 14.
