Council meets Tuesday evening at Civic Center

The downtown baseball stadium and the city’s ongoing infrastructure work dominate the agenda for next week’s Biloxi City Council meeting, which takes place Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Biloxi Civic Center.

The agenda includes four measures involving the stadium construction and funding and five measures proposing eminent domain be used to acquire easements for upcoming front beach infrastructure work.

One of the baseball measures would solidify an agreement between the state and Biloxi to see $2 million in funding for the overhead pedestrian walkway on U.S. 90 south of MGM Park. Another measure, with the Mississippi Development Authority, would see the city realize a great share of sales tax from concessions at MGM Park.
