Easter Egg hunts bow this weekend, other news and notes

The city’s Parks and Recreation Department hosts two Easter egg hunts this weekend, one in Woolmarket and one on the Town Green.

The Easter Eggstravaganza in Woolmarket, co-sponsored by Biloxi First United Methodist Church and Clear Channel Media Entertainment, will be Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. on the grounds of the Woolmarket School, 12513 John Lee Road.

Then on Sunday at 2 p.m., an Easter egg hunt will be conducted on the Town Green.

The events are open to children up to age 11 and their parents who want to come out and enjoy an afternoon of fun. The Eggstravaganza will include an Easter Carnival with inflatables, games, an egg hunt, refreshments, and the Easter Bunny. Parents should bring a camera to take pictures of the little ones with the Easter Bunny.

Admission is free and children will be given Easter bags for treats and prizes. Parents are not allowed on the hunting fields during the hunt. Volunteers will assist the children.
