RESOLUTION NO.

WHEREAS, on November 1, 2011 a contract was awarded to CDM Smith for Hurricane Katrina Infrastructure Repairs, Water, Sewer, & Drainage Lines – CSXT Permitting Project; and

WHEREAS, submitted for approval is Task Order Amendment No. 1 for CDM Smith for additional surveying services for the Maple Street utility crossing required by CSXT to obtain a permit for the work to be performed within their right-of-way; and

WHEREAS, these additional services will be performed for an actual cost not to exceed $2,205.00; and

WHEREAS, the engineering design services in this amendment will follow the terms and conditions of the previously approved Task Order and Master Services Agreement for Professional Services; and 

WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of Richard Sullivan, Director of Public Works, and Damon Torricelli, City Engineer, to approve Task Order Amendment No. 1 on the contract with CDM Smith for additional surveying services for the Hurricane Katrina Infrastructure Repairs, Water, Sewer, & Drainage Lines – CSXT Permitting Project.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BILOXI, MISSISSIPPI, THAT:

SECTION ONE: The findings, conclusions, and statements of fact contained in the foregoing preamble are hereby adopted, ratified, and incorporated herein.

SECTION TWO: The Mayor and/or Municipal Clerk be and are hereby authorized to accept and execute Task Order Amendment No. 1, attached hereto as Exhibit “A”,  on the contract with CDM Smith for additional surveying services for the Hurricane Katrina Infrastructure Repairs, Water, Sewer, & Drainage Lines – CSXT Permitting Project.
