RESOLUTION NO.

WHEREAS, on April 24, 2009 a contract was awarded to Seymour Engineering for Hurricane Katrina Infrastructure Repairs, Water, Sewer, & Drainage Lines – North Biloxi Phase 6, Project No. KG636, Water, Sewer & Drainage Lines – Area 2 & Project No. K7112 Lift Stations; and

WHEREAS, now that the PVC sanitary sewer videos have been reviewed and the infrastructure program is an improved project, the attached Task Order Amendment from Seymour Engineering for the North Biloxi Phase 6, Project No. KG636, Water, Sewer & Drainage Lines – Area 2, & Project No. K7112 is submitted for approval; and

WHEREAS, the replacement of the existing water main is being deleted from this phase of the work; and

WHEREAS, however, the existing fire hydrants are to be replaced; and

WHEREAS, portions of the existing sanitary sewer lines within this phase are being deleted from this phase of the work; and

WHEREAS, however; other segments of the existing sanitary sewer are being replaced or lined by the CIPP method; and

WHEREAS, the revisions to the scope of work within will increase the basic services party of the Task Order by $9,403.75; and

WHEREAS, the design services in this amendment will follow the terms and conditions of the previously approved Master Services Agreement for Professional Services. 

WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of Richard Sullivan, Director of Public Works, and Damon Torricelli, City Engineer, to approve Task Order Amendment No. 1 in the amount of $9,403.75 on the contract with  Seymour Engineering for Hurricane Katrina Infrastructure Repairs, Water, Sewer, & Drainage Lines – North Biloxi Phase 6, Project No. KG636, Water, Sewer & Drainage Lines – Area 2, & Project No. K7112 Lift Stations.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BILOXI, MISSISSIPPI, THAT:

SECTION ONE: The findings, conclusions, and statements of fact contained in the foregoing preamble are hereby adopted, ratified, and incorporated herein.

SECTION TWO: The Mayor and/or Municipal Clerk be and are hereby authorized to accept and execute Task Order Amendment No. 1 in the amount of $9,403.75 on the contract with  Seymour Engineering for Hurricane Katrina Infrastructure Repairs, Water, Sewer, & Drainage Lines – North Biloxi Phase 6, Project No. KG636, Water, Sewer & Drainage Lines – Area 2, & Project No. K7112 Lift Stations.
