RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS, Micro-Methods, Inc. has submitted a proposal to the City of Biloxi to provide testing services on Project No. K8754, Hurricane Katrina Repairs to Commercial Docking Facility; and
WHEREAS, testing of the dredge spoil materials is required by the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources (DMR) in order to determine if the spoils materials are suitable for placement at the Deer Island Beneficial-Use Site; and
WHEREAS, placement of the spoils material at the Deer Island Beneficial-Use Site is a condition of the City’s DMR permit for the project
WHEREAS, the compensation for these services will be a unit price pr sample, with a total not-to-exceed cost of $7,231.00; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of Richard Sullivan, Director of Public Works, and Damon Torricelli, City Engineer, to enter into the proposal with Micro-Methods, Inc. to provide testing services on Project No. K8754, Hurricane Katrina Repairs to Commercial Docking Facility for the City of Biloxi.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BILOXI, MISSISSIPPI, THAT:
SECTION ONE: The findings, conclusions, and statement of fact contained in the foregoing preamble are hereby adopted, ratified and incorporated herein.
SECTION TWO: The Mayor and/or Municipal Clerk be and are hereby authorized to accept, enter into, and execute the proposal, attached hereto as Exhibit “A”, submitted by Micro-Methods, Inc. to provide testing services on Project No. K8754, Hurricane Katrina Repairs to Commercial Docking Facility for the City of Biloxi.
SECTION THREE: The Mayor and/or Municipal Clerk be and are hereby authorized to accept the proposed fees as submitted by the Micro-Methods, Inc. to provide testing services on Project No. K8754, Hurricane Katrina Repairs to Commercial Docking Facility for the City of Biloxi.
