RESOLUTION NO. ___________

RESOLUTION AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2012 TO BUDGET EXPENDITURES FOR THE CITY OF BILOXI’S  HAZARD MITIGATION FLOODPLAIN MANAGEMENT PLAN

            WHEREAS, on November 15, 2011, the City Council authorized submittal of a grant application to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) to update the Hazard Mitigation/Floodplain Management Plan  and

WHEREAS, the City has advertised and received proposals to update the Hazard Mitigation Plan/Floodplain Management Plan; and

WHEREAS, the expense for this plan is not currently budgeted in the 2012 City of Biloxi Fiscal Budget; and

WHEREAS, David Staehling, Director of Administration, has recommended that the Municipal Budget for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2012 be amended to include the expenditures for said plan.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BILOXI, MISSISSIPPI, THAT:

            Section 1:  The statements, findings, determinations and conclusions contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby adopted, ratified and incorporated herein.

 Section 2: The Municipal Budget of the City of Biloxi for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2012 is amended to add expenditures of $75,000.00 in the following fund and account:
