More work planned on Cedar Lake, Popp's Ferry bridges
The Cedar Lake bridge will be closed intermittently Monday morning and Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons next week for repairs, and one lane of the Popp's Ferry bridge will be closed Monday morning while workers repair the bridge's steel deck.
On the Cedar Lake bridge, city engineer Damon Torricelli said repairs need to be made to one of the six wheels that help stabilize the bridge when it swings open. The repairs, which will require intermittent closures, will take place Monday from 8 to 10 a.m., and Tuesday and Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m. The bridge will be closed to marine traffic Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
On the Popp's Ferry bridge, workers will replace a section of the steel deck in a northbound lane Monday between 8 and 10 a.m.
