City of Biloxi opens registration for its Start Smart Program

The City of Biloxi Parks and Recreation Department has opened registration for the first 20 Start Smart Program participants for its Start Smart Program. Registration is Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Recreation Office, 380 Hiller Drive.

The Program is open to children ages 3 to 5 and their parents or a responsible adult. Sessions begin on Tuesday, March 31 and continue for five following Tuesdays, ending on Tuesday, May 5. Each will be conducted from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Donal Snyder Community Center, located at 2520 Pass Road. Participation is free for City of Biloxi residents and $25 for non-Biloxi residents.

The Start Smart Program is a program that helps to prepare children for organized sports using Koosh products. This program teaches children basic baseball skills such as throwing and catching the ball and batting and running, which are needed to play the sport.
