City of Biloxi offers summer swim lessons and Biloxi Red Tide registration

The City of Biloxi Aquatic Division will hold its summer swim lesson registration for Biloxi residents, on Thursday, April 30 from 4 to 8 p.m. and for non-Biloxi residents on Friday, May 1from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Donal Snyder Sr. Community Center, 2520 Pass Road.

Classes will begin Monday, June 1 with different sessions held throughout the summer. All classes will end on Thursday, July 30.

The summer session will consist of four types of classes for different ages:

 IPAP –beginner classes for children 6 months of age to 4 years old. An adult must accompany each child in the water during this class.

 Level I & II – beginner classes for children ages 4 and up

 Level III & IV – intermediate classes for children

 Adult classes – for adults of all ages

Late registration will begin on Monday, May 4 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Biloxi Natatorium, which is located at 1384 Father Ryan Avenue, and will continue weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. throughout the summer until all classes are full.

The cost for the two week session is $30 for each Biloxi resident and $40 for each non-Biloxi resident. Registration must be done in person.

All classes are taught by certificated American Red Cross instructors.

In addition, Biloxi Red Tide Swim Team registration will be held on at the Snyder Center on Thursday, April 30 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Friday, May1from 4 to 8 p.m. Registration will continue at the Biloxi Natatorium on weekdays throughout the summer. Practice starts Monday, May 18 at 4 p.m. A complete schedule will be posted at a later date.
