City of Biloxi Hosts Local Pitch, Hit & Run Competition

The City of Biloxi Parks and Recreation Department will host a free Aquafina Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run Competition for area youth on Saturday, February 28 at 10:30 a.m. The competition will be held at the Biloxi Sports Complex located at 765 Wells Drive.

Pitch, Hit & Run is open to children ages 7 to 14 whose birth date falls before July 17, 2009 and want to demonstrate their talent in core baseball skills.
Pre-registration will be February 23 – February 27 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hiller Park Office, 380 Hiller Drive, and late registration will be on February 28 from 9 to 10:15 a.m. at the Biloxi Sports Complex prior to competition. Participants must bring a copy of their birth certificate and parents must complete a registration/waiver form prior to competition.

Champions from this area competition will have the opportunity to advance through four levels of competition, including Team Championships at Major League ballparks and the National Finals at the 2009 MLB All-Star Game.
