Thursday, Dec. 3: Lighting of the Biloxi Lighthouse

The city ushers in the Christmas season with the lighting of the Biloxi Lighthouse from 5:30 to 7 p.m., south of the Biloxi Visitors Center, 1050 Beach Blvd.  Santa Clause will be on site with cookies and hot chocolate!  For more information, call the Biloxi Visitors Center at 228-374-3105.

 

Friday, Dec. 4: Annual Children’s Christmas Parade

The annual parade features kindergarten to third grade age children riding in hay wagons in celebration of Christmas.  The parade will start at 6 p.m. at the Frank G. Gruich Center, 591 Howard Ave., travel west on Howard Ave., through the Vieux Marche, turn south on Reynoir, east on Jackson, south on Lameuse Street. and end at the Town Green. Friday, Dec. 4: Christmas on the Town Green

Celebrate Christmas with holiday festivities on the Town Green, 710 Beach Blvd. from 6:30 to 8 p.m. This free event will feature the lighting of the Christmas Tree by Mayor Andrew “FoFo” Gilich, Santa Claus giving away goodies and chocolate will be available while event goers decorate the Christmas Tree. Friday, Dec. 4: Holiday Pub & Restaurant Crawl 2015

Adults are invited to partake in a holiday walking tour of bars, pubs and restaurants in downtown Biloxi. Saturday, Dec. 5: Breakfast with Santa

Nativity BVM Elementary School invites you to Breakfast with Santa from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Half Shell Oyster House, Lameuse Street, Biloxi. Pancake and sausage plates will be $5, and those attending are encouraged to bring their camera for pictures with Santa. To see a flyer, click here.

 

Saturday, Dec. 5: Family Holiday Celebration

Celebrate the holidays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with day filled of family activities, entertainment and vendors booths at the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art, 386 Beach Blvd.  Free family activities include photos with Santa, face painting, and Christmas ornament making in the Clay Studio.  Discounts will be available for the Museum Store and children under the age of 17.  For a complete activity listing and times, call the Museum at 228-374-5547.

 

Saturday, Dec. 5: Christmas in the City 2015

Sunday, Dec. 6: BLT’s “A Smith Family Christmas”

Biloxi Little Theater presents this delightful family Christmas experience in music, with hot chocolate, peppermint sticks, treats and surprises for the children. Santa also will be appearing. In “A Smith Family Christmas,” which begins at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 6, three generations take you on an unforgettable musical journey.  Tickets $10 adults, $5 children, $25 family 4-pack. Wednesday, Dec. 9: Senior Luncheon

Adults age 55 and older are invited to enjoy a ham holiday fest with the Parks and Recreation Department from noon to 2 p.m. at the Donal Snyder Community Center, 2520 Pass Road.  Christmas carolers will fill the gymnasium floor with Christmas songs and door prizes will be given away.  For more information, call the Parks and Recreation Department at 228-388-7170.

 

Saturday, Dec. 12: Spirit of Christmas at Hiller Park

The Barbara Ferrill Softball Fields in Hiller Park will be filled with holiday activities from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The festivities will include a children’s area filled with games, arts and crafts area, a bounce house and more. Saturday, Dec. 12: Come Learn with Santa

Saturday, Dec. 12: Christmas Open House

The Maritime & Seafood Industry Museum presents a Christmas Open House at the Museum, 115 1st St., from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  The event will include book signings, holiday gift shopping, a Christmas musical recital from 2 to 5 p.m., cookies and hot cocoa and, of course, Santa Claus.  To see the flyer, click here.

 

Sunday, Dec. 13: Christmas Brunch

Wednesday, Dec. 16: Sounds of the Holidays

Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 16- 17: North Pole Calling

Santa, Mrs. Claus and their Elves will be calling children, pre-schoolers up to Grade 2, to see if they are ready for the arrival of Christmas in this free program sponsored by the city’s Parks and Recreation Department and co-sponsored by the Biloxi Fire and Police Department and the Biloxi High JROTC. Parents/guardians must complete an application, incident specific details that only Santa would know and chose a time between 6 and 8 p.m. that your child will be available to receive a phone call.  Applications are due by Dec. 17. Dec. 17-20: A Charlie Brown Christmas

The Salvation Army Kroc Center will present “A Charlie Brown Christmas” Dec. 17-20 at the Kroc Center, 575 Division St. The play is based on the television special and is open to the public.  Performances will be Thursday, Dec. 17, Friday, Dec. 18, and Saturday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 20 at 2 p.m.  Admission is $10 per person or $7 per person for a group of eight or more.  To see a flyer, click here.

 

Friday, Dec. 18: Special Needs Christmas Dance

All ages with physical and mental disabilities are invited to celebrate Christmas with friends and family at the Donal Snyder Community Center, 2520 Pass Road, from 6-9 p.m.  Door prizes will be given away and food will be available.  Security will also be provided.  Admission is an unwrapped gift no more than $10 which will be given to the Biloxi Police Department’s Santa Wears a Badge Program.  To see a flyer, click here.

Local artists and craftsmen will be set up from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. selling their special creations at the Biloxi Visitors Center, 1050 Beach Blvd. The public is invited to browse and shop for last minute Christmas gifts, take pictures with Santa, enjoy refreshments and more! Sunday, Dec. 20: Santa Claus at the Fire Museum

“Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town” and visiting the West End Hose Co. No. 3 Fire Museum from 1 to 3 p.m.  All children are invited to spend the afternoon at the Fire Museum at 1046 Howard Avenue, talk with Santa, enjoy snacks and listen to Christmas music.
