Biloxi releases long-term, short-term economic indicators

The City of Biloxi, facing an onslaught of media inquiries leading up to the Aug. 29 anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, has released a host of economic indicators, with charts showing 15-year and 15-month trends.

An overall 16-page report, titled “The State of the City: One Year Later,” is also expected to be in the mail to all Biloxi residents and online within two weeks.

You can find the statistics package — as well as information on debris removal, monthly building repair permits, and condo development status – in the Katrina stats section of the city web site. To go there, click here.
